Collage Project
Our reading is done and now it is time to put our knowledge and creativity together to make a final project.
A collage is artwork that is made of a variety of art materials glued onto a surface. You can use magazine or internet pictures, yarn, string, fabric, glitter, 3D objects, or anything else that you think is appropriate. When your collage is finished, we shouldn’t see any of the original paper peeking through.
In this project you will be creating a collage that represents the Matt, his family, Ben, Attean, and Saknis. Think of each of their personalities and the significant pieces of their adventure that we just read about. These are the types of things you should depict on your collage.
On the back of your collage you need to list Matt, Attean, Saknis, and Ben. Next to each name write two words that you think are most important in defining that character. Along with this list, you need to write a one paragraph summary of the story from start to finish. Your paragraph should not be longer than a half a page, so be careful to only include the most important events.
You will be given time in class to work on your project. Some of the work will need to be completed at home. Projects are due on Monday, March 14th. Your book is also due back in the library on October 14th.
